Rain Won't Go Away

was it raining, raining, raining all day
shall the black clouds hinder the hot ball's ray
of glamour and majesty it swiftly overpasses
the earthly soil beneath its fertile masses

upon the window i breathe for light
my hands craving for one drop of might
that i may reach the warmth outside
and feel the joy, in my heart had not reside

i feel the smiles on strangers' faces
the laughs and screams from different places
for miles had reached my social unawareness
for years had conquered my isolated aloneness

i reached to the out my hand so bold
and god, was it warmth, was it joy i now hold
was the black cloud over, shall i see the sun
shall i hope that the rain, that the rain had gone
